The Life and Legacy

Ray Anthony Picou was born March 15, 1957 to the union of Leola and Osborne Picou Sr.

On the morning of December 3, 2025, Ray peacefully departed this life and entered into eternal rest. He was baptized at an early age at St. Mary Catholic Church Convent, LA. He married the love of his life Shirley Boudreaux Picou on Christmas Eve December 24, 1995. Ray touched the lives of many with his wit, kindness, and unwavering dedication to his family. His legacy of love and compassion will forever be remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know him.

He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife, Shirley Picou; one step-daughter, Shelita Boudreaux Gonzales, LA. one step-son, Marcus (Debra) Boudreaux Addis, LA. Seven sisters: Geneva Robinson Detroit, Michigan; Lillie Rogers Union City, Georgia; Lucille Dillworth Mobile, Alabama; Claudette (Herbert) Scott Convent, LA; JoAnn and Gail Picou Convent, LA; Sharon Lomas Gonzales, LA. Two Brothers: Osborne Picou Jr. Convent, LA; Jerome Picou Sr. (Yolanda) Convent, LA. One Uncle: Joseph Dumas Jr. Headland, Alabama; Eight Grandchildren; Nine Great Grandchildren; Three Brothers-in-law: Melvin Boudreaux Sr, Allen Boudreaux Sr, and Lawrence Kelly Sr. Two Sisters-in law: Joann and Sammie Boudreaux; One godchild Donahnjalay Jamerson Fefie, nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Ray was preceded in death by his Mother and Father, Leola and Osborne Picou Sr; Sister, Diane Robinson; Stepson, Dominick Boudreaux; Mother-in law Ollie Boudreaux; Father-in law Albert Boudreaux Sr. and a host of other relatives.
