Richard "Coach" Brown, age 66, native of Geismar and a resident of Gonzales, passed away peacefully in the presence of family and friends on Monday, October 3, 2016 at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital. Retired Ascension Parish teacher, coach, administrator, and former school board member; involved in numerous organizations in Ascension Parish with the motivation of students being near and dear to his heart.

Richard leaves to cherish his memories and life legacy; his loving wife, Beverly; one son, Terrance; four sisters, Victoria, Dorothy, Oletha Brown and Ethel Shivers; two brothers, Sherman and Robert Brown.
