Robert Lee Hampton, affectionately known as "Lil Rob", was born on May 16, 1996 in New Orleans, Louisiana to the parentage of the late Kawani Hampton and Samuel "Butch" York Jr ( Michelle Byrd). He departed this life on January 19, 2023.

Robert was devoted to his family and friends, whom he truly loved. He was committed to being a father and grew each day to be the best father and version of himself that he could be. He was a very hard working  and reliable young man, holding multiple jobs as an operator, pipe fitter, and heavy machine operator. Robert was such a happy and outgoing person.

Robert leaves to cherish his memories, 1 son Traylin Hampton, 4 sisters; Ja'Honesty Hampton, Brianda Byrd, Samijah York and Tyrosla Rankens , six brothers; Trebor and Jason Hampton, Jason, Averee ( Aja ) , and Ashton York, and Devon Sterling, paternal grandparents; Samuel York Sr. and Diana York,  maternal grandfather, Roosevelt Hampton , one great-grandmother, Barbara Boudreaux Williams, four aunts; Tawani Williams, Shandrika and Keidra York, and Kisha Nixon, three uncles; Roosevelt, Kentrell , and Anthony Williams, three god-parents; Genice Williams Carter (Glenn), Patrina "Nanny Boo" Scott, and Ernest Gaines, six god-siblings; Kendra and Kenneth Wagner, Tonie Gaines, LaQuita and Tanesha Scott and Walter Samuel, and a host of nieces, nephews, great aunts and uncles, cousins and close friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Kawani Hampton and Samule "Butch" York Jr , maternal grandmother Gwendolyn Williams Pollard, three great grandparents; Carl Williams, Areluas York and Viola Scott and one great great grandmother Rosalean Mackeyon Boudreaux.
