Sister Rosie Lee Douglas (Bureau) was born on May 6, 1936 in Maurepas, Louisiana to Samuel Douglas and Norma Lee Armstrong Douglas. Rosie was called home to her final resting place on October 16, 2020. Rosie was born the third eldest of five sisters and four brothers.

Rosie leaves to cherish her precious memories, her son Donald Ray Bureau and daughter-in-law Diedra Bureau, a god-daughter Doris Williams, a god-son Ray Bureau, Jr., three step children Bearl Scott, Sabrina Scott and Patrina Scott, seven grandchildren Tarsha (James) Williams, Jimmy Williams, Aristede Williams, Majungah Williams (Quan), Donald Williams (JoAnn), Charanda Johnson, one granddaughter-in-law Shannon Thomas, and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.

Rosie was preceded in death by her husband Bearl Bureau, her mother and father Norma Lee and Samuel Douglas Sr., grandson Lynden Johnson, five sisters; Hazel "Betsy Mae" Douglas, Luyinia Smith, Lucinda Williams, Zallie Mae Cooper, and Effie Williams,  brothers; Cleveland, Samuel, and Fred Douglas.

The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude for the overwhelming amount of love shown to them during their moment of bereavement. No act of kindness has gone unnoticed, and a more formal thank you will be done at a later date.
