Schudell Marie "Putten" Hawkins was born on September 17, 1966, at Earl K. Long Hospital in Baton Rouge, LA. She was the third born to Gladys and Matthew Brocks Jr. Schudell accepted Christ at an early age. She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, and aunt. She enjoyed spending time with her family, helping others, shopping, catering and decorating for weddings (The Wedding Planner). Schudell was call to her eternal rest on August 19, 2016.

Schudell leaves to cherish five daughters; Anita, Ashely, Cedricka, Bre, And Justice. Three sons; Elliot, Gregory Jr. and Byron Jr. Her mother (Gladys) and father (Matthew) Brocks. One sister (Sophie) and two brothers (Edward) and (Matthew III). One niece (Quintessa) and one nephew (Le'Jerime). Fifteen grandchildren, three uncles, four aunts.

She was preceded in death by grandmother, grandfather, six uncles, three aunts, and her son Terrence "Jermaine" Brocks.
