Shirley Mae Hilliard was born on April 16, 1965 to the late Willie Mae Hilliard and Morris Baptiste. Shirley was a devoted mother, loyal sister, and exceptional friend. Shirley loved spending time with her four children, they were her pride and joy. She had a servant's heart, never hesitant to help someone in need. On October 29, 2018 The Lord called Shirley home to eternal rest.

Shirley is survived by her 4 children; Courtney Hilliard (Daniel), James Hilliard, Jamie Hilliard, and Jasmine Hilliard. 5 brothers; Tommy Hilliard (Joyce), Alvin Hilliard, Donald Hilliard (Jeanette, who was also a dear friend), Ernest Hilliard (Kindera), and Edward Darville (Darlene); 9 sisters; Ray Winder, Francis Hilliard, Juanita Albert (Joseph), Mary Emerson, Annie Mae McKnight (Frank), Grace Thomas, Sheila Baptiste, Wanda Simmons (Nelson), and Thonticha Merrell (Sheldon); A host of godchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Shirley is preceded in death by her parents, Willie Mae Hilliard and Morris Baptiste, her sister Mary Hilliard, her brothers Frankie Lee Hilliard and Morris Baptiste Jr., her brother-in-law Henry Winder, her niece Rockelle Hilliard, and a host of aunts and uncles.

Shirley will be remembered for her kind and compassionate disposition, her unconditional love and acceptance for others, her giving heart, beautiful smile, and a passion for life and family.  She was a bright light in our lives, and she will be missed immensely.

The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude for the overwhelming amount of love shown to them during their moment of bereavement. No act of kindness has gone unnoticed, and a more formal thank you will be done at a later date.
