Thelma Ruffin, 79 was a native and resident of St. Gabriel, Louisiana.  She passed away peacefully on March 24, 2024 at Center Point Healthcare and Rehabilitation.  Services will be held at New Jerusalem Full Gospel Baptist Church, 4525 Point Clair Road, St. Gabriel, Louisiana.  Visitation will be held on April 2, 2024 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.  Funeral services will immediately following. Bishop Eugene Harris, pastor.  Pastor David Lodge will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Survived by her son, Freddie (Jacqueline)Frazier, St. Gabriel, LA; two grandsons, Freddie Jr. (Britney) Frazier, Gonzales, LA; Frederick (Artesia)Frazier, St. Gabriel, LA; two great grandchildren, Xander and Zoey Frazier; Step-daughter, Jennifer Ben; two step grandchildren, Benny and Gerald Ben. Three step great grandsons, Brennan Stephens, Dillion Ben and Gerald Ben, Jr.  Devoted sisters, Mary Bennett and Oretha Ruffin, St. Gabriel, LA. Devoted nieces, Jill and Monica Ruffin, and Stephanie Jackson, St. Gabriel, LA; nephews, Gerald Jackson, Houston, Texas and Edward Ruffin, III of North Carolina.

Preceded in death by her parents, Edward Joseph Ruffin and Evelyn Wright Ruffin. Grandparents. Two brothers, Ernest Day and Edward Joseph Ruffin, Jr.  Two sisters, Evelyn Etta Ruffin and Yvonne Ruffin Tate.  Two nieces, Yolanda Ruffin and Darlene Bourrage.  And a host of other relatives and friends.
