A resident of Baton Rouge and a student at North Banks Middle School of Excellence, Tyrone Pugh Jr., affectionately known as "TJ", 13, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 28, 2014, in Baton Rouge, LA. TJ was born on December 25, 2000. During his 13 years of life here on Earth, he touched many lives and was loved deeply by everyone. TJ enjoyed playing with his friends in the neighborhood, and he also enjoyed being creative on social media. TJ's life was a gift to us that we will cherish forever in our hearts. Viewing on Friday, September 5, 2014 at Mount Gillion Baptist Church, 38280 Henry Road, Prairieville, LA from 5:00-8:00 p.m. and Saturday, September 6, 2014 at 10:00 until religious services at 12:00, conducted by Pastor Jermaine Brumfield, Sr. Interment in Mount Gillion Baptist Church Cemetery. TJ leaves to cherish his memory, his loving parents, Tyrone Pugh & Claudette Weams Pugh, Baton Rouge, LA; a brother, Justin Lanes, Addis, LA; maternal grandmother, Ollie Bell Weams, Prairieville, LA; paternal grandmother, Gertrude W. Pugh, Plaquemine, LA; eight aunts: Barbara Weams & Carolyn Faye Hampton, both of Prairieville, LA, Judith Pugh, Sandra Pugh, Janice Pugh, Cynthia Pugh (Edward) Dunlap, Lenora (Bennie) Crawford, all of Plaquemine, LA., & Karen Pugh of Addis, LA; three uncles: Willie (Sandra) Weams of Houston, TX; Herbert (Yolanda) Watson, Plano, TX, & James Pugh, Jr., Plaquemine, LA; two Godfathers: Arthur Wilson, Plaquemine, LA & Herbert Watson, Plano, TX; Two Godmothers: Yolanda Watson, Plano, TX, and Ellen Deloris Sip, Baton Rouge, LA; a host of great aunts, great uncles, cousins, and friends. TJ was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Willie Berlin Weams, his paternal grandfather, James Pugh Sr.; three aunts: Beverly Jean Weams, Claudine Weams and Patricia Pugh.
