Visitation at Lawson-Rollins Purple Shield Funeral Home, 511 W. Tobey Avenue, Gonzales, on Saturday, May 16, 2015, at 9:00 am until funeral service time at 12:00 noon; conducted by Rev. Michael Auguillard. Interment in Pilgrim Baptist Church Cemetery, Convent, La. He is survived by his father and step-mother, Walter and Linda Hankton; 1 son, Carlance Gant (Shankole), New Orleans; 2 grandchildren, Carlance Jr and Sha'Nyja Gant; 4 sisters; 5 brothers; 2 brothers-in-law; 2 sisters-in law and a host of other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his mother Marion Louise Figgins Hankton, 1 brother, Jonathan Hankton and grandparents.
