Willie John Weams, 62, a native of Prairieville, La and a resident of Houston, Tx, passed away on May 5, 2021 at Houston Methodist Hospital in Houston, Tx. Visitation will be on Saturday, May 22, 2021 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am and religious services will follow from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at Mt. Gillion Baptist Church, 38280 Henry Road, Prairieville, La.  Officiating Minister - Pastor Jermaine Brumfield.  Burial will follow in the Mt. Gillion Baptist Church Cemetery.  He was survived by a loving and devoted wife - Sandra Patterson-Weams, three children (by his previous marriage) Jessica Weams, Jocelyn Weams, and Jeremy Weams of Baton Rouge, La, his loving mother - Ms. Ollie Bell Hall-Weams of Prairieville, La., three sisters - Barbara A. Weams and Carolyn Faye Hampton of Prairieville, La., Claudette Weams-Pugh (Tyrone) of Baton Rouge, La., one granddaughter Danielle Darville of Prairieville, La., and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives. He preceded in death by his father - Willie Berlin Weams, two sisters -Beverly Weams- Richardson and Claudine Weams, a nephew Troy Weams, and a Godmother - Leontine Dennis.
